Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt Response: I found myself looking for things that reminded me of those moments. I learned that I am a pretty visual person. I know that I'm a visual learner, but I like being able to imagine descriptions that are similar to events. It was nice to see that certain moments and memories are shared among peers and other people.

Summary: We wrote similes and metaphors.

Reflection: I realized that my worst moments are very relatable to others. I will use this to comfort myself when I feel alone.

Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

Recall a specific incident when someone’s words offended you. Describe what was said, how it made you feel, and what actions you took in response. Reflect on whether your response helped resolve the situation or changed how you think about communication.

Reflect on a time when you discovered a new perspective that completely changed how you viewed a person, group, or place. How did your previous “single story” shape your thoughts or actions?
