Prompt Response: When I was out with my parents one evening, we went to a seafood restaurant. I really love seafood, so I was happy that my parents took me there. It was also a really nice restaurant, and I was able to spend time with my loved ones. I remember we had a seafood platter, and I really liked the oysters. I also really liked eating the seafood soups.

Reflection:  I learned that there are many interpretations to the same story/letter. I will use this to better understand the perspectives in the story.

Prompt Response: In Mean Girls, there is the stereotype that the perfect girls are skinny and girly. The film also depicts nerds as being a bunch of guys that love math. At that time it made me think that pretty girls were selfish and shallow. Summary: We watched stereotypes about Asian and black women. Reflection: I learned about the stereotypes from my culture. I will use this to fight back against bias.

Prompt Response: I believed that I would always be friends with my first best friend. We were best friends for around seven years before we stopped being friends. I realized that we had grown apart and that there wasn't anything I could do about it. I realized that overtime you meet new people and lose your old friends, and that is just how life goes. Everyone needs to move on. Summary: We read more of The Color Purple and wrote a poem. Reflection: I realized that women have always been fighting for more freedom. I will use this to continue fighting for women's rights.
