Prompt Response: I like worksheets because it allows me to figure things out myself. I like being able to have guided lessons where I can do things on paper. The paper method allows me to see my past decisions and learn how I have changed and learn what I need to do differently. 


Summary: We discussed gender roles and specifically the roles of husbands and wives.


Reflection: I learned that despite the great changes women have made in the past, they still have not earned equality. I will use this information to notice how differently men and women are treated in the real world.

Prompt Response: I've always been really into dinosaurs and extinct animals, and I wondered why they went extinct. If they were perfect forms of their species, then why would they die off? Prompt Response: I believed that I would always be friends with my first best friend. We were best friends for around seven years before we stopped being friends. I realized that we had grown apart and that there wasn't anything I could do about it. I realized that overtime you meet new people and lose your old friends, and that is just how life goes. Everyone needs to move on. Summary: We read more of The Color Purple and wrote a poem. Reflection: I realized that women have always been fighting for more freedom. I will use this to continue fighting for women's rights.

Write about a moment when you suddenly noticed something funny, shocking, or unexpected about someone you see every day (a family member, a classmate, or even a teacher). How did that new discovery change the way you saw them?

Prompt Response: I recently realized that my boyfriend always said crud and terribly. I thought it was really funny because I had never heard anyone else say it as much as him. When I realized this, I found out that we had really grown closer. It was nice to know that we had come to know each other better after several years. It was also a testament to our bond. Summary: We did a writable assignment on The Color Purple.  Reflection: I learned that there are many different ways to read one story. I will use this to look at one story from several points of view.
